Making of Jackets by The Crown Jacket

Our Five steps process has stood the test of time and ensures that the jacket you take home will last you a lifetime.

Design and Grading at The Crown Jacket

1.

Design and Grading at The Crown Jacket

At The Crown Jacket, our expert designers create stunning patterns for our garments. Utilizing advanced computer technology, we grade these designs according to government anthropometric tables, ensuring perfect size variations based on body height and weight. This process guarantees that every pattern is meticulously crafted to fit you perfectly.

2.

Cutting Process

At our facility, tanned leather is carefully placed on moving tables called cutting spreaders. Though modern machines can cut multiple layers at once, our experts prefer a single-layer approach for precision. Patterns, approved by our designers, are applied using tissue paper or tailor’s chalk. Each piece of leather is then meticulously cut by hand to ensure perfection without damaging the skin. The jacket’s lining is cut with the same attention to detail.

Jacket Assembly

Jacket Assembly

Every jacket is crafted with precision by our expert tailors:

  • Sides and Back: The sides are sewn to the back.
  • Underarm Seams: The underarms are stitched together.
  • Sleeves: The sleeves are attached to the armholes.
  • Finishing Touches: Collars, cuffs, buttonholes, buttons, zippers, and pockets are added based on design.
  • Pockets:
  • Patch pockets are sewn onto the side pieces before they are stitched to the back.
  • Side pockets are sewn in as the sides attach to the back.
  • Lining: The lining material is sewn to each piece before assembly.

Each step ensures a high-quality, beautifully finished jacket.

4.

Molding and Pressing

To transform animal skins into fashionable jackets, various pressing techniques like heat application, steaming, and blocking are used. Buck presses with controls manage steam and pressure for bomber and blazer jackets, giving them their distinct shapes. Curved blocks are placed around collars and cuffs after heating to keep them comfortable and flexible. Even after the blocks are removed, the shape remains intact.

Final Inspection Process

5.

Final Inspection Process

Before any jacket leaves our facility, it undergoes a meticulous final inspection by our dedicated quality control team. Every detail is scrutinized to ensure there are no blemishes or design imperfections. Only after passing this rigorous check are the jackets approved for sale and sent out to customers.
